Former Clovis High football star and Detroit Lions linebacker, Zack Follett, opened Kuppa Joy Coffee in Clovis.
Follett was sidelined from his pro football career by a neck injury, so he came home to the Central Valley and opened Kuppa Joy, a small coffee shop near 5th and Clovis Avenues.
It's an experience that's turned his life around in just the few weeks he's been open. "Running and chasing, everything that football, fame, and girls and money and all that fast life... it really didn't fulfill me. And then when Christ came in my life, it really changes. So I was think about something that I can go back to my hometown community and connect to 'em and everyone connects over a cup of coffee," said Zack.
Zack says he has had to double his staff from 6 to 12 employees and he's now brewing more than 130 pounds of coffee a week.
Kuppa Joy also serves paninis for lunch and even Armenian rice pilaf every Friday.
