It has been a nightmare trip for hundreds travelers from the valley as they try to get home from a Hawaiian vacation.

Allegiant began non-stop flights to Hawaii in July.

The passengers stuck in Honolulu tonight say mechanical trouble with Allegiant's planes delayed their trip home for two days.

The passengers were scheduled to leave yesterday.

They spent last night in a hotel, then the second flight they were supposed to be on Saturday morning had more mechanical trouble.

"They told us to get off the flight because they were having the same issues with the plane that had just landed," Marsha, a stranded passenger said.

So they've spent two days in the Honolulu Airport.

Allegiant told CBS47 the passengers can book another flight on the airline, but the passengers we spoke with said other Allegiant flights out are also delayed by those same mechanical problems.
