Fire crews hope to have a wildfire in Fresno County contained some time Monday.

Someone threw a lit cigarette out of a car, along the four-lane Saturday near Auberry.

500 firefighters battled flames and the very hot temperatures and 8 have been treated for heat exhaustion.

Adan Orozco with Cal Fire said "Despite the high temperature that they were facing, they worked hard and we're really proud of them today."

Homes were evacuated when flames threatened many in the area but all evacuations have since been lifted.
