Families that lost homes in the fire at Griffith Gardens Apartments in Fresno are given new hope Saturday.
The Red Cross and Tzuchi Foundation are teaming up to give back to those families left homeless by the fire last month.
The families were given debit cards by the Tzuchi Foundation with amounts ranging from three hundred to seven hundred dollars, depending on the family needs.
All together 7300 dollars were given out.
The fire destroyed 28 apartments at the complex.
51-year-old Shelly Levy was arrested last week. She is accused of starting the fire.
Investigators say it began in her apartment.
