Ragsdale is a good guy, who made a mistake that had major consequences. I understand, this is situation is horrible, and maybe you don't want him to see his family, but his family wants to at least see him.

How is it that you can use a gun, knife, bat or even a frying pan to kill some one and you get charged with murder and spend your life in prison. But you can go out and get drunk, get behind the wheel take two peoples lives and you may get a few years behind bars. It should have MUCH harsher penalties and mandatory minimum sentences for dui and especially if you kill some innocent person just trying to live their lives. You KNOW when you drink you should not drive, just as you KNOW that you should not shoot, stab or beat someone to death.
