Take a look at this surveillance video from 22 Mile House on Highway 41 near Madera.

A burglar tries to open the locked doors. He breaks the glass then gets into a car that backs into the doors - shattering them.

The crooks drive off... They didn't take a thing.

“It's not clear what they were after, if they were after anything,” said Erica Stuart, with the Madera County Sheriff’s department.

Madera sheriff's deputies spotted that Chrysler 24 hours later.

Turns out it was stolen.

They arrested three people in the car and

And found a bag with burglary tools including a crowbar and sledge hammer.

“The types of tools that were found in the vehicle there's every indication they weren't out for a joy ride certainly,” Stuart said.

Deputies are looking for the driver of the car, 23-year-old Abel Ramos.

He has a series of tattoos on his body including one on his chest that says 'Daddy's Girl' and tattoos on his forearms that read "I refuse to lose".

Authorities believe the motivation behind the break-in is drugs.

“When the sheriff says we don't have a crime problem in Madera County we have a drug problem in Madera County and the two unfortunately are feeding each other,” Stuart said.

If you spot Abel Ramos, contact the Madera Sheriff’s Department at (559) 675-7770 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. There is a thousand dollar reward for information that leads to his arrest.
