Two family members hit in a crosswalk last week in Northeast Fresno remain in the hospital.

A family spokesman says 2-year-old Bella Maldonado is still in critical condition but will have some medical equipment removed.

Her mother will soon be able to hold her for the first time since the accident.

The girl's father, Jesse Maldonado had a second surgery and is in fair condition.

Meanwhile, a private service will take place this weekend for 7-year-old Donovan Maldonado who died in the suspected DUI hit and run crash.

A public memorial service will be held on Monday, August 13th at Peoples Church in Fresno.
