A member of the Fresno Police department's mounted patrol left the force Tuesday night with a Mardi Gras celebration.  A horse named Cotton has been with the patrol since he was five years old.  He's now eighteen.  Tuesday's patrol in Fresno's Tower District was his last ride before his retirment.  Officer Al Hernandez has been with Cotton for 13 years.  He'll now be a member of the officer's family and will have a pony and a lamb as his new friends.
