The new tower at Clovis Community Medical Center is now open.

The hospital at Herndon and Temperance has been in the middle of a $300 million expansion for the last five years.

More than 140 private rooms are now open, along with an updated state of the art emergency room.

Craig Castro, CEO of Clovis Community Medical Center said, "They are the most technically advanced in the western U.S. Surgeons can be operating and be talking to the pathologist who's looking through a microscope and showing the surgeon on the screen, in the operating room, what tissue needs to be further removed and such."

The original tower built in 1988 will be getting a complete renovation.
