Police arrested two suspects and shut down an ecstasy lab inside a Clovis apartment.

The arrests happened just before midnight Thursday night at the Pacific Grove apartment complex near Barstow and Villa.

Clovis police arrested two suspects, Cody Long and Anthony Smith.

Police responded to the apartment complex to investigate reported drug activity and observed two suspects in the parking lot showing signs of being under the influence of drugs.

When they entered the apartment, there were hot, strong fumes from an active ecstacy lab.

For safety reasons, two roommates were evacuated from the apartment along with two families who live next door. They were taken to a nearby hotel for the night.

The Fresno County Health Department responded to the scene to clean up the hazardous materials.
