Tulare police are investigating a pair of shootings, both with children as victims.

The youngsters were shot at two separate locations and it's not known if the crimes are related.

The first shooting happened just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night on Cleveland Street. A 9-year-old was hit in the ankle.

About an hour later, a 1-year-old was shot outside a home on Sacramento Street.

Both children are expected to make a full recovery.

The search is on for suspects and anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call the Tulare Police Department.
