A young boy was struck and killed while crossing the street near Clinton and West Thursday night.

The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on Clinton Avenue. The boy was not in a crosswalk.

The 11-years-old was crossing to get to his mother that was already on the other side of the street.

The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with police.

Police are investigating reports that a second car was involved but did not stop.

Police have not released any names involved at this time.

That weekend the faimly and friends put on a car wash and for some reason they worded the flyres wrong and the cops came and shut them down plus took all there money they raised to help bury the 11 year old Lester Cox Jr I myself think they had no right to do that i sure would like someone from action news go and talk to the faimly to get the hole story. Some way they should at least get the money they raised.
