The two were arrested following a routine traffic stop Tuesday night.
Fresno police say they pulled the SUV over for speeding around 11:00 p.m. in the area of Kings Canyon and Clovis Avenue.
Officers made a surprise discovery in the back seat of the SUV when they found a 20-year-old man bound by duct tape.
Lt. Anthony Martinez with the Fresno Police Department said, "What we know is that just prior to our officers seeing the speeding SUV at 1949 South Sierra Vista, the suspects attacked the victim, forced him down, and were able to duct tape him. And then they removed him from the location, placed him in the back of the SUV..."
Police arrested the 24-year-old brothers, Daniel and Ulysses Carillo.
The victim had only minor injuries.
The victim and one of the suspects are roommates and police are investigating the possibility of a robbery or even maybe even a possible murder.
