Jorge Banda was sentenced to life without parole for the shooting death of Tulare County Sheriff’s Detective Kent Haws.

The court case and eventual conviction took years in part because of questions about Banda's sanity.

25-year-old Banda of Ivanhoe confessed to shooting Haws back in December of 2007.

A jury found Banda guilty of murder this past August and then he was found legally sane in September.

Banda is a pathetic waste of a human life, his family raised a useless person. He will be in prison getting fat off of ramen noodles and wasting tax payer money. The sad thing is that he is a total waste of tax payer money. My prayers do go out to the Haws family. Banda you are a disgusting fat body and the one thing I guess we can be sure of is that you will not be able to pro create and spread your faulty genes.

Five years and hundreds of mental tests later,Jorge Banda, murderer,is finally sentenced to life in prison for killing Officer Kent Haws. One less killer out of society, but sadly, also one less son, brother, husband, father, friend. Jorge Banda is not,was not insane when he deliberately obtained a weapon, then waited his chance to use it to kill the one person who had known that Jorge Banda was a criminal. Jorge Banda's family did nothing to help him be an honest citizen. Jorge Banda was a gang member and as such, he chose a path to destruction of not only the life of the officer, but his own as well. Goodbye, Jorge Banda, go to prison, and go to GOD asap.
