A Bullard High School student who told police a man tried to kidnap her made the story up.The 16-year-old girl said she fought off the suspect with a pair of scissors.
The story alarmed students at Bullard and their parents. Students we spoke with said they were scared to walk alone.
It's unknown at this point why the student made up the story or if she will face any charges.
Fresno police are expected to release more on the false kidnapping report on Wednesday.
