The Fresno Police Department announced they have arrested one adult and four juveniles for last month’s beating death of an unarmed security guard.

The five are suspected of attacking 59-year-old Albert Rodriguez two weeks ago while he was patrolling the Summerset Village Apartment Complex near First and Clinton in Fresno.

22-year old Tony Sayachack is in the Fresno County Jail and four teenage boys are in Juvenile Hall.

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said, “Some of these individuals were armed with boards and pieces of wood that they used as clubs and repeatedly struck Rodriguez.”

Police say Rodriguez was not armed when he was attacked.

All five suspects are being charged with murder and it’s now up to the District Attorney to decide if any of the juveniles will be tried as adults.
