35-year-old Labrie Whitehead is accused of pulling a knife Wednesday night at the CVS Drug Store, across from the Fashion Fair.
Security guards were trying to stop the man from stealing liquor from the business.
Those guards had been watching the suspect closely because he had apparently been kicked out of the store several times before.
The suspect was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
