43-year-old Clovis elementary school teacher Neng Yang pled not guilty to sex charges Wednesday morning.
Yang is a 2nd grade teacher at Freedom Elementary School in Clovis.
The Clovis School Board was scheduled to meet Wednesday afternoon to discuss a personnel matter, which could mean Yang's future employment with the school district.
Yang is facing 45 felony charges after allegations of horrific sexual abuse of a 7-year-old student.
The abuse allegedly occurred 45 times on four different days in December and January.
Yang is facing federal and state charges and is scheduled to appear in federal court again on Thursday.
Yang has been a teacher at Freedom Elementary School in Clovis for the past 4 years but has been with Clovis Unified since 1993.
