Employees of a Bakersfield nursing home reportedly let an elderly woman die because none of the staff would give her CPR.

The incident happened at Glenwood Gardens in Bakersfield.

The Kern County 911 recording was released and shows the dispatcher pleading with the nurse to do something.

Dispatcher: "Are we just going to wait and let this lady die?"

Nurse: "Well that's why we're calling 911. She's taken 3 breaths."

Dispatcher: "It's not enough. We need to get CPR started. "

Dispatcher: Well, if you get anybody, any stranger that happens to walk by, who is willing to help. I understand if your boss is telling you, you can't do it... Is there anybody that's willing to help this lady and not let her die?

Nurse: Not at this time.

The company says it doesn't provide medical attention for residents but some in the legal profession believe the nursing home could face criminal charges.

The 87-year-old woman died at the hospital.

Per FOX news, several hours ago, the family signed an acknowledgement that CPR would not be done. And, HIPPA privacy regulations would probably prevent staff from providing any client information. Regardless of whether there was a DNR or not, a person has the right to determine treatment. Besides, CPR on a person that age, outside of a medical facility (which this was not) is a very dangerous situation.
