The Fresno County Sheriff's Department says crooks stole 77 brand new computers worth $50,000 from a Fresno County Library.
The break-in happened on the 4th of July at the Sunnyside branch library at Clovis and Kings Canyon in Fresno.
Investigators have some leads, but there are no surveillance cameras, so they are hoping someone saw or heard something that may help catch the thrives.
The computers were brand new Dell computers still in the boxes, computers meant to replace the old ones at all Fresno County branch libraries.
Deputies say the suspects broke in on the morning of the 4th of July when the library was closed and entered a pass code to disable the alarm system.
The library does not have surveillance cameras, so investigators are asking people to be on the lookout. Deputy Chris Curtice with the Fresno County Sheriff's Department said, "...anything suspicious that has to do with brand new Dell computers. I mean you never know where they might show up - at a swap meet or in the back of someone's car."
The libraries are still stocked with the old Dell computers.
