There is a peaceful protest going on in front of the Planned Parenthood in Fresno's Tower District.
Local community members, who are against abortion, gather to pray on the sidewalk in front of the clinic. The event is called 40 Days for Life.
Josh Brahm with Right to Life said, “This is the 2nd annual 40 Days for Life, and last year we saw up to 60 women choose life for their babies because we were able to provide them the kind of resources that they needed.”
Patsy Montgomery with Planned Parenthood said, “What we would hope is that the people who are out on the sidewalk would join us in helping to decrease and reduce the need for abortions by helping people get access to birth control.”
The protest will last for the next 40 Days the Clinic says it plans to run through the protest, as if nothing was going on outside.
