A Madera couple and their female friend from Chowchilla are accused of stealing 500 feet of copper wire from a railroad in Madera County, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damages.The lines were stolen from Union Pacific Railroad.
Trains were halted Saturday but were back up and running shortly after.
The suspects were arrested over the weekend when a farmer spotted them allegedly running off into a field.
Bail is set for $100,000 each.
