Public health officials say demand is still very high for the H1N1 vaccine so long lines and long waits should be expected at flu clinics over the foreseeable future.

Fresno County will hold its next flu clinic at Mosqueda Center in South East Fresno, rather than the original location at a Fresno senior center. Officials decided to move to the larger facility after large crowds turned out at the flu clinic held at Manchester Center on Wednesday and Thursday, where over 5,000 vaccines were given.

The Mosqueda Community Center flu clinic will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9th and is located at 4760 Butler Avenue, east of Maple Avenue in Fresno.

Merced County is also distributing the H1N1 vaccine on Friday, November 6th from 8am to 4pm at the Merced County Health Department, located at 260 East 15th Street.

If you are not able to attend one of these flu clinics, health officials advise you contact your primary care physician to see if they have the vaccine and to keep checking with local pharmacies, who expect more deliveries over the coming weeks.

Tulare County also announced on Friday that they have received their second shipment of the H1N1 vaccine. Vaccination clinics will be held at Tulare County schools beginning on November 10th for those who fall into the top priority category.
