The suspect from Wednesday night's deadly crash in Northeast Fresno is out of jail.

41-year-old Loren LeBeau was booked into the Fresno County Jail on $254,000 bail, which he posted Thursday morning.

LeBeau is the boys head basketball coach at Central High School. He's been coaching there since 2007.

LeBeau is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter after police say he struck a family of three as they were biking along a crosswalk near Shepherd and Millbrook.

Those injured were a father with his daughter in a seat behind him and his 7-year-old on his own bike. The 7-year-old child, identified as Donovan Maldonado, died just before 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The father and daughter were taken to community regional medical center for serious injuries.

Police say LeBeau left the scene of the accident but later returned and identified himself. He was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Central Unified Superintendent Michael Berg had this to say about LeBeau: "He was a very intense individual, He cared a lot about kids. His students will be moved by this. We are concerned about students and their well being."

Berg says LeBeau has been placed on administrative leave.
