The 39-year-old woman is still in critical condition after a gunman walked into a home and shot at her at a close range Monday afternoon.
"It was kind of scary. I was scared cause it's just me and my son," Vanessa Cuesy said.
Vanessa Cuesy lives right next door to where the shooting happened.
She wasn't home at the time but says she's seen the victim come in and out of the house before.
" She seemed friendly. She said hi, other than that I didn't stop to talk to her," Cuesy said.
We tried talking to the man who lives in the home, but he says he couldn't remember too many details of that day.
Police do not believe this was a random shooting.
"He did enter and specifically targeted the victim we have to believe that there was some type of prior disturbance," police said.
This is the fourth shooting in Fresno since Sunday.
Two of the victims died, and it doesn't seem to surprise a lot of people.
"It's sad that people go around using violence as a solution to things." said Lupe Sicairos.
Fresno police wants to continue their gang operation to arrest the bad guys.
"If we don't do operations on frequent basis, then the gang members will be involved in shooting," Chief Jerry Dyer said.
