We now know the name of the man shot and killed by Fresno County sheriff's deputies.

The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Randall Lee Davis.

Deputies opened fire on Davis after they say he came at them with a box cutter.

The shooting happened  Monday night at a home near Belmont and Willow.

Deputies were called out because Davis was apparently trying to kill himself.

Neither deputy was hurt. Both are on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
