Fresno police have a home surrounded on East Harwood Avenue, near Butler and Temperance in Southeast Fresno.
Shots have been fired but nobody has been injured.
Police report the armed gunman is despondent and depressed but has not hurt himself.
The neighborhood has been locked down and SWAT was called to the scene.
