An impressive new building is what drew many out for Thursday's dedication at Roosevelt, but it's new opportunities that have student Gabriella De La Cerda excited.

“I feel like I can do so much more," De La Cerda.

More computers and educational technology have De La Cerda and hundreds of other students excited to come to class.

“Everything is 21st century so what that means in the big picture is we want our kids to be able to compete in the 21st century world,” said Roosevelt Principal Bryan Wells.

Well’s is hoping the new upgrades will give teachers like Linda Jean Voth the tools they need.

"It just means the world to us because we are here to help the kids really dream and go further than high school," said Voth.

For Superintendent Michael Hanson, it’s part of a larger dream to improve all the schools in the
Fresno Unified School District.

"This beautiful wing goes in and sixteen portables leave this campus never to come back so it is just a dramatic turn around in the learning environment for kids," said Hanson.
