Six people were detained for questioning following a shooting in the parking lot of the Save Mart Center following a rap concert.

A man was hit around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night after a concert by rapper Rick Ross.

The victim is expected to recover and there were no other injuries.

Police questioned six people so they may already have the suspect. Fresno State Police Chief David Huerta said, "We've detained six subjects; they're being transported over to the University Police Department. And the Fresno Police Department and the university detectives will be interviewing them to ascertain what happened here."

The investigation blocked off one part of the Save Mart Center's parking lot and one women had to leave her car there and wait in the rain for her parents to pick her up. Macy Mesa-Davidson said, "I come out... and there like... the cops aren't letting get to my car. It was really fun. Like we were all in my friend's suite and then I come out to that."

Police are expected to have more information on a possible suspect on Friday.
