The pictures are instantly recognizable. White shirts, duct tape and "NOH8" tattoos. The world-famous campaign is coming to Fresno on Friday, July 13th for an open photo shoot. Hundreds of people are expected to get their pictures taken.
Celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley started the movement after the passage of Proposition 8 in 2008. Since then, more than 20,000 people have taken pictures. NOH8's Mission Statement reads: "The NOH8 Campaign is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy, social media and visual protest."
Gay Central Valley and First Congregational Church of Fresno ("The Big Red Church") are sponsoring the shoot, which takes place from 5-8pm Friday.
