A disturbing case out of the south valley, Visalia Police officers have arrested a couple for murdering their 6-week old daughter.
The suspects are 23-year old Aaron Rowe and 21-year old Courtney Rowe.
Aaron Rowe is in the Tulare County Jail facing a murder charge. Meanwhile, his wife Courtney Rowe is being held at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility for willful cruelty to a child.
This case dates back to Monday night. Paramedics responded to a home on Cypress Avenue near Linwood Street because 6-week old Peyton Rowe was not breathing. The infant was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center and that’s where she died.
Police interviewed her parents, but had no grounds to arrest them. However, that changed once the autopsy results came back on Wednesday.
“At the autopsy they determined that the cause of death was blunt force trauma and there was a mention of some unspecified injuries as well,” said Sgt. Curtis Brown of the Visalia Police Dept.
The medical examiner says the month and a half old baby had several older injuries consistent with abuse over the last few weeks.
