Valley lawmakers are showing support for a well-known veterans advocate.
Charlie Waters is recovering from injuries he received in a car accident. He was taken to St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno.
Friends say he doesn't remember much about the crash.
Waters has been in the news lately for his efforts to restore funding for Fresno's new Veterans Home.
Assemblywoman Linda Halderman mentioned Waters in a tweet saying, "Please say some prayers for Charlie Waters today."
Congressman Jim Costa also released this statement: "My thoughts and prayers go out to one of the pillars of our community."
