Sweethearts are still feeling the love, after spending top dollar on Valentines Day Gifts.

Twenty Billion Dollars.

That’s how much Americans spent on romantic gifts this year.

Local business  owners saw an uptick in business.

From the flower and bear kiosks on the corner to romantic restaurants…

There was more love in the air.

“[Business] is healthier this year than it was last year yes but it's not nearly what it used to be back in 2007 2008,” said Chef Rudy Liebl from Fresno’sThe Ripe Tomato.

“People seemed a little bit more involved in getting something nice. I even had someone buying for their moms, one for their grandmother,” Tammy Carney who sells silk flowers.

One man's theory: a happy woman is a happy home.
