A family is forced out of their home after a fire tonight.

The blaze broke out just after 6:30 on the 3400 block of North Maroa.

Firefighters say the blaze may have been started by a cooking appliance that was accidentally turned on.

It damaged the kitchen and the attic of the home.

Two adults and one child were displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.
