Fresno County Fire battled a house fire in Fresno Saturday night.

The fire occured at a house on 9th and Laurite in Calawa.

Investigators say the fire has been vacant for the last two and a half years.

Transients are believed to be responsible for starting the fire and one firefighter says these are some of the most dangerous fires they are called to.

"Firefighters don't really know what to expect as far as abandoned property, there might be holes in the floor, the ceiling. So we have to take some extra precautions to make sure no one is hurt," Chris Bump of Cal Fire said.

This is the second time in the last couple of years that Cal Fire has responded to this house to put out a fire.
