Dense fog in parts of the Valley caused dangerous driving conditions Monday morning.

A truck collided with a freight train in Hanford and investigators say the fog was a contributing factor.

The accident happened at Kansas and 10th Avenues around 8:00 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol says a pickup was waiting at the railroad crossing for the train to pass when an oncoming vehicle rear ended the truck and forced it into the train.

The driver of the truck was able to walk away with only minor injuries.

There was a similar accident east of this location where a car rear ended two other vehicles at the tracks.

The CHP reminds everyone to slow down in foggy conditions and leave early to allow additional time to get to your destination.
