A little more than 24 hours after the shooting that killed two men.
All three suspected killers were under arrest.
51-year-old Jose Alfredo Jimenez and his stepson 18-year-old Michael Pranger surrendered.
“Through a third party Mr. Jimenez and Mr. Pranger were able to come to the sheriff's office and turn themselves into detectives,” said Deputy Chris Curtice with the Fresno Sheriff’s Department.
Jimenez son 34 year old Jose Mario Jimenez was arrested Monday afternoon.
Investigators say two of the three men got into an argument with the victims earlier in the day at the home on south cherry. The Jimenez's and Pranger live there.
Hours later, the victims came back to the house and were shot to death.
Detectives found hundreds of marijuana plants on the property.
“There was a marijuana grow at this location on south Cherry, it was a large marijuana grow. There was also an unreported disturbance earlier in the day yesterday and the shooting may have stemmed from one of those, or something totally different,” Curtice said.
After spending the night guarding the house, deputies and federal drug agents tore down the marijuana garden early in the morning.
"We wanted to hold this and then eradicate this first thing in the morning,” said Captain Steve Wilkins with the Fresno Sheriff’s Department.
300 plants were destroyed.
The Jimenez's and Pranger will face federal charges for the marijuana in addition to murder charges.
