Police are investigating a double shooting in that happened Monday night in Southeast Fresno.

Two men were hit around 11:00 p.m. near a home off McKenzie Avenue, near Tulare and Chestnut Avenues.

The two victims are in serious condition and they're not giving investigators very many clues about what led to the shooting.

Sgt. Pete Boyer with the Fresno Police Department said, "The fact of this are kind of vague right now, we're trying to dig through it. But at this point, it appears that they were in the front yard in some fashion, maybe in a vehicle or standing near a vehicle when several people either drove up or walked up and several shots were fired. Both of them received their injuries there at that point. At this time we don't know much more. Don't know if it's gang related or anything of that nature."

Investigators are still looking for people living nearby who may have the seen the suspects.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department.
