A suspected drunk driver rear-ended another car, sending down a steep freeway embankment.
The crash happened at Highways 180 and 168 Tuesday evening.
Rescue crews had to make their way down the embankment to get to the injured victim.
Captain Chad Tucker with the Fresno Fire Department said, "Probably about a 40 to 50 foot drop - pretty steep. Apparently she had facial injuries, a little loss of memory of the accident, so we took c-spine precautions, loaded her into the ambulance and they transported her to RMC (Community Regional Medical Center).
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
