It’s been an active day for law enforcement at one Clovis neighborhood on Griffith Street as they try to serve an eviction notice at a forclosed house.

“It was on the final stages of the forceclosure in which the civil people were in the process of evicting the people from the residents,” said Deputy Chris Curtice with the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies believe father and son, Dennis and Sean Napier barricaded themselves in the house they were living in and refused to come out.

“They baricaded it from the inside, screws and nails, securing the doors and windows and windows," said Deputy Curtice.

It’s been an ongoing problem officers say.  Just last month the civil unit came to the home and attempted to serve the eviction and that’s when they noticed the red flag.

“They've done an abatement at the house, during which they saw several guns and ammunition in the house."

Dennis Napier is no stranger to law enforcement.

“They were hostile toward PD, they had several contacts with PD in the past."
