The two suspects injured in an officer-involved shooting on Thursday have been identified.

18-year-old Martin Espinoza and 32-year-old Lupe Nieto were shot by a Clovis Police Officer Thursday morning following a 20-minute chase.

Clovis Police received a call of a man with a gun and when they tried to pull the SUV driven by Nieto, he took off. The vehicle finally stopped at Olive and Willow and the officer fired his weapon, hitting both men.

The two were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment and they are now facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer. Nieto is also accused of evading police and making terrorist threats.
