A major theft at a local church... impacts hundreds of needy families.

Over the weekend, thieves stole $75,000 worth of clothes and shoes...out of a storage unit parked behind the California Southern Baptist Connection in Fresno.

The necessities were donated to kids of migrant workers.

Thieves left behind some jeans and shoes... but everything else is gone.

The necessities would have gone to the summer ministry...

The church has until then to reach out to the community for a helping hand.

“They work here for six months, it's seasonal, and they just don't have the money to supply the adequate school clothing for children,” said Church Director Oscar Sanchez.

If you wish to donate, visit www.csbc.com and click on “Donate to Migrant Ministry."
