The victim walked in to find on a burglary in progress at her home near Shaw & West.
She did exactly what intruder asked, but he hit her anyway.
Lt. David Newtown with the Fresno Police Department said, "She apparently surprised the burglar. He did strike her at least one time to the face. Her injuries were relatively minor."
The suspect got away with some of the victim's belongings.
Police say they do have several promising leads in the case.
