Last year, Nicholas Estrada was further back in line at best buy and missed out on some items he wanted.  Now he holds the top spot and has a TV and computer in his sights.

“People are like, you’re crazy, but I don’t think so, it’s worth it,” said Nicholas Estrada, a shopper.

Inside the store, employees are hustling to have everything in order for midnight shoppers.

“How we leave it tonight is going to be pretty much how it looks Friday morning when we open up,” said Mathew Nickels, manager of Best Buy.

Target actually opens three hours earlier than Best Buy.  That’s 9:00 Thanksgiving night.

Target employees will operate mobile registers at the River Park store to try and get shoppers in and out as fast as possible.  The carts accept debit, credit and gift cards.

“So if they have large items that are hard to get through the lanes like TVs or when we have a lot of people back in electronics with only two registers, we have three of these we can roll back there and check people out,” said Anthony Daulton, manager of Target.

Although Black Friday seems like it’s a sprint, managers say it’s actually a marathon.

“There are plenty of other deals at different price points that are just amazing offers and we typically have quite a few of those things throughout the day on Friday,” said Nickels.

“We also have a 4am ad that’s going to be a secondary ad to the one just for Black Friday, so we’ll have some more goodies to bring on more of a crowd later on,” said Daulton.
