Calvin Young's tip-in of a Corey Silverstrom miss should have sent the Bullard Knights state playoff game against Westchester to overtime.

But the officials said the shot came after the buzzer, giving the Comets a very controversial 60-58 win.

A photo taken by a student on his cell phone shows Young's shot was definitely in the hoop with 0.2 seconds left in the game, but the referees did not talk it over, choosing to leave the court faster than Usain Bolt.

Bullard's season ends with a 27-3 record. They lose 10 seniors from this year's team, but take with them three consecutive valley titles as well as three straight state playoff appearances.
