A fast food restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night.

The suspects are on the run.

It happened at the Jack in the Box restaurant at Shaw and West in Fresno.

Customers were horrified.

They say they watched as two men in their twenties stormed the restaurant, armed with handguns.

“The clerks that were in there saw them coming they went into the back room and locked the door,” said Lt. Joe Gomez.

They jumped the counter... went to the back room and demanded to be let in, threatening to shoot.

The clerks opened the door.

Police say the robbers didn't shoot.

But they took cash and ran off.

And none of those employees had a cell phone to call the police? Sad.
