A man was shot near a homeless camp in downtown Fresno Tuesday night.

The shooting happened around 11:00 p.m. at E Street and Santa Clara, an area that has seen violence in the past.

The victim was found not far from a homeless camp that was formed after other camps in downtown were cleaned out because of the demolition of a bridge.

The victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

Police don't have a motive for the shooting.

This latest shooting is the fifth shooting in just 48 hours, including two murders in the City of Fresno.

When there's a shooting the police helicopter should fly around or in the direction of the suspected shooter and use their infra red camera to find a heat signature of the weapon and then go and rid society of that cockroach... I know this is possible because i used to work with one of those cameras, and you can see the heat from everything it is pointed at. There's no excuse for this not to have been used in the past...
