It took a towing crew two and a half hours to clear this mangled mess off the tracks.

Roberta Burriss kept her baby girl close.

“It sounded like we hit something and sounded like we were going over gravel,” Roberta Burriss said.

One hundred and fifty three passengers felt the impact when their train slammed into a truck in Madera

“It was just a really, really loud popping sound and the train actually lifted up a bit I could feel.”

Those picking up loved ones were worried sick

“She was actually in the very first car and so says she felt the wheels of the train hitting the truck and she saw people running from the truck.”

Passengers say they saw the truck parked on the tracks, then two men run away from it.

Luckily they escaped unhurt, but their Friday night plan derailed

And the baby slept through most of it

“It was hard, but she was really good,” Roberta Burriss said.
