Lynda Labendeira is now a Kindergarten teacher, teaching kids Ethan's age.

She was only 10-years old when three kidnappers held her and 25 other children at gunpoint.

Buried alive in a school bus.

She grew up with three sisters who were on the bus.

She says they didn't talk about what went on...until recently.

“I’m really happy for Ethan, family and community. Now the job is making him feel safe and normal.”

She says memories last forever but believes Ethan can overcome the trauma.

He's already out of the hospital, with loved ones.

“I had my own things I dealt with. You know flashbacks if I see a white van. Claustrophobic in small rooms.

“It's still hard for her to talk about Ethan's dead kidnapper, 65 year old Jimmy Lee Dykes.

Her kidnapper Frederick Woods was just denied parole.

Watch her interview with CBS 47’s Lemor Abrams.
