Impound yhe car for 30 days. What is the logic behind that policy? It is to impose a penalty on the unlicensed driver by basically confiscating their vehicles. Isn't the imposition of penalties a function for the courts?

I live in Caruthers and am glad the CHP is there being its unincorporated all we have is the sheriffs and CHP. Ive been pulled over myself for silly things as anyone would say when they dont want a ticket.I dont look fwd to harvest time because the saftey on the road with dense fog and people than dont have a license obviously dont know the laws of the road or may have never driven in an area with lots of fog. Thanks CHP glad to see my tax money at work. BTW im not racial profiling my grandfather came here on a green card then became a citizen and had a drivers license for the ACLU crybabies.

I wish one of the ACLU guys get hit by unlicensed drivers and see what it is like.
